Short Bio

My love of painting started late in my life. In my mid 40’s while recuperating from a major illness I started to read books about art and the lives of famous artist. When I was well I started visiting every art gallery I came across including travelling to major galleries OS.

 

I became fascinated with the history of art, the stories about the paintings and the lives of the artist. I took up painting to see if I could create a piece of art that one day others might find as exciting as some of the art I had seen…hence my love to paint figureative art and scenes that convey a story or meaning.

 

I have exhibited at various galleries across the Central West. In 2004 I exhibited at the “Clatsop Community College “ in Portland Oregon in the “Nude or Naked” Exhibition.

 

My first solo exhibition of Figurative and Landscape paintings was at the Borrodell Winery Gallery in 2011.
