Anne Blair-Hickman is 46 years old and lives in the lower Blue Mountains. She loves creating art and  has a passion for portraiture.

​

Her recent portraits have been people she has met in the streets. These include "Archangel Michael", who sells the Big Issue in the Blue Mountains, "The Juggler", a homeless man in Penrith, and "Bessie", an 85 year old woman who she met on a park bench and went on to share a cup of tea with.

​

Her preferred medium is oil pastels, but has also dabbled in soft pastels, acrylics and watercolours. 

​

She attends lessons with David Newman-White in his studio in Lithgow.
